Description
|
This well-appointed three bedroom cottage is located on the Northumberland Strait overlooking Cape Breton and Nova Scotia. The white sand beach, part of the infamous 'Singing Sands', stretches for miles on either side of the cottage. Walking westward takes you to Little Harbour for sand dollars or walking east leads you to Basin Head. The warm, clean and clear waters are excellent for swimming, kayaking and snorkling. The beach access is as simple as walking across the lawn and down a set of stairs!
The cottage is equipped with all the amenities to help make your stay enjoyable. It is inspected yearly by the PEI Department of Tourism to ensure your comfort and safety. Whether curling up on the couch to read a book by the propane fireplace or sitting on the outdoor deck watching the seals and whales that frequent the area, we know you will be content and relaxed.
For those who want to venture further afield, there are many attractions available close to the cottage. Activities such as deep-sea fishing at North Lake, golfing at the Links at Crowbush Cove or Brudenell or Dundarave, the Fisheries Museum and wharf jumping at Basin Head, sea glass hunting at Souris Beach, touring the historic newly opened Souris Lighthouse or eating seafood at any of the local restaurants, ensure a wide range of fun for everyone young and old!

Equipments:
This well-appointed cottage contains 3 bedrooms and one 4 piece bathroom. The bed configuration is one queen bed, two single beds and one twin bunk beds. All linens are supplied including sheets, bath and beach towels. Soaps for personal use, washing and laundry are also included.
There are two additional buildings: a shed containing separate laundry facilities (washer & dryer) and storage; and an outdoor screened porch containing a bar fridge, dining table and sitting area. An additional outdoor private shower allows you to gaze at the ocean while removing the sand and salt from a great day on the beach!
The kitchen is well-equipped for food preparation, cooking (including a propane BBQ on the covered porch) and clean-up (dishwhasher).

Information sur la localisation : This cottage is located on a quiet white sand beach about 60 minutes east of Charlottetown International Airport or 10 km east of the town of Souris. This area of the Island has lots to do without the inherant crowds that are found in the more central locations of PEI such as Cavendish Beach. Travel by ferry to the Isle de Madeleine leaves twice a day from Souris and is very popular with tourists.
