This neat and tidy, almost 300 sq.ft. including the screened porch, tiny and compact, yet well equipped, waterfront cabin has just about everything you will need for a getaway from hectic city life.

Designed as an affordable alternative to higher priced lodgings, it is located at the east end of Palmerston Lake and is perfect for a single person or couple only who enjoy the outdoors and just need a place to lay their heads down at night. Similar to a BACHELOR/efficiency unit , the couch pulls out into a double bed for sleeping.

A well equipped kitchenette including large toaster/convection oven,microwave, 2 burner hotplate, fridge, sink with H/C water, all dishes and cutlery, pots and pans, toaster, kettle, tea pot etc. makes meal preparation easy. A 3 piece bathroom with a fibreglass shower stall, a closet and storage shelving unit, a lunch counter with 2 chairs, SATELLITE T.V. with DVD/VCR and WI-FI are amongst the added conveniences included for your comfort. Two blankets, 2 pillows and 1 comforter are also provided. All windows are screened offering a breeze from the lake. The Guesthouse is heated with electric heat for cozy Winter stays.

An intimate front yard with picnic table bordering the lake, a sundeck atop a boathouse and an adequately sized screened porch provides comfort and cozyness after a fun filled day in this Land O'Lakes area of Eastern Ontario.

Your hosts reside year round on the same property and we appreciate guests who are seeking a break from their normal city routine in this picturesque area in The Land O'Lakes cottage country. Parking is provided at the top of the property behind the cottage, access to the Guesthouse is via a common stairwell, or by water. Boat launch is a very short distance away. Palmerston Lake offers good Bass and Lake Trout fishing, May-Nov. Just minutes to miles of excellent ATV and snowmobile trails on crown land.

Recycling is encouraged at all times. No fireworks permitted on property. No cell phone service, SKYPE could be downloaded. Please bring your own linen and towels and drinking water.

Waterfront:
Being just a few feet from the lake's edge, water activity is handy with room to dock your own small watercraft. The front yard provides some privacy for outdoor meals, sunning and just watching the lake activity as the day goes by. The screened porch faces the lake for private water activity viewing. Palmerston Lake is a 5 km long spring fed, crystal clean, clear lake and our shared swimming area with owners and Bunkie guests offers sandy bottomed,weedfree swimming. Use of pedalboat.

Electric baseboard heater in living room and bathroom.

Smoking:
We offer smoke free accommodations and ask that all smoking be done outdoors only please.

Equipments:
Complimentary Washer and Dryer available for our guests use in a separate exterior room attached to the main house during Summer months only. Area facilities include convenience Marina/store in Ompah with boat rentals, movie rentals, gas, live bait, licenses etc. The next village of Plevna has a family restaurant with attached grocery store, also LCBO. Many golf courses located within one hour, skiing at Calabogie approx. one hour. Located in District 1 of the OFSC snowmobile trail system and just minutes to groomed OFSC snowmobile and EOTA ATV trails, drive to the door access from the lake via snowmobile or ATV in the Winter months . Many other lovely lakes in the area on crown land with public access, good fishing and boating.
