MAY 25-27 WEEKEND STILL AVAILABLE. GREAT ATV TRAILS JUST MINUTES FROM THE COTTAGE. 3 UNITS AVAILABLE!

WI-FI, SATELLITE TV, PET/SMOKE FREE. Located just 100 km SW of Ottawa and a similar distance north from Kingston, our cozy and clean, all season cottage is nestled amongst a variety of trees and has the pristine, clean and clear Palmerston Lake out its front door. 3 small bedrooms with queen, single over double bunk beds and double sofa bed accommodates a family of 6 very comfortably. Included for your enjoyment are SATELLITE TV, VCR/DVD, WI-FI, telephone for free local calling,(no cell phone service, bring phone card for long distance calls) electric heat, fully equipped kitchen with microwave,fridge,stove, infant furniture upon request, 3 piece bathroom , W/D available May-Oct., ceiling fan, large furnished screened porch facing the lake, complimentary use of propane BBQ on patio area with picnic table,a second octagonal picnic table on a patio stoned area on the lawn, 6 deckchairs, canoe,pedalboat, and an abundance of gorgeous sunsets. Excellent fairly shallow swimming area with sandy bottom & no weeds, floating raft for the kids. Toddler sandbox with sand toys and large grassy front yard. Boat lift for dry storage of your own boat. Cottage is plumbed with Palmerston Lake water, please bring bottled water for drinking.

Located in District 1 of the OFSC snowmobile trail system and just minutes from the cottage are GROOMED OFSC snowmobile and EOTA ATV trails. 2 larger cottages and 1 small cottage available for your Winter weekday/weekend ATV trip during the late winter months and into the Spring. Unlimited public access to crown land and many other lakes in the area for fishing year round. ATV's/Snowmobiles are needed in the Winter to access these crown land lakes such as The Quinns, Granite, Mair, Redhorse, Minnow, Mosque, Summit, Wolfe etc. Palmerston Lake is a very deep, clean, clear, spring fed lake and offers good Bass and Lk Trout fishing from May-Nov. This is what outdoor life in The Land O' Lakes is all about.
Plenty of blankets and pillows are provided. Please provide your own sheets, pillow cases and towels. Other cottages in the area are privately owned, not a resort type area, set on a private laneway. Perfect for family guests who just want a lazy getaway. Respectful hosts reside year round on same property. Smoke/Pet free.

Waterfront:
The front yard borders Palmerston Lake and offers a lovely, fairly shallow and sandy swimming area with no weeds used by the owners and guests, if any, from our Bunkie. A floating raft is easy for the kids to get to and from, wharfside docking of your own boat or in the boat slip. An intimate small public beach is within a few minutes by car or boat. Lake temperatures can reach 75F

Heating: electric baseboard heating in every room

Children allowed: Yes.

Guests allowed: Yes. Please discuss all guests and visitors the with owners. We have a Guesthouse on the property for overnight accommodations that may be available for overnight visitors. Advance booking is required for this Guesthouse.

Smoking: No. Please smoke outdoors only.

Equipments:
Included for your use, the complimentary use of canoe with paddles, rowboat, shared use of paddleboat, some life jackets, some pool noodles, propane BBQ including propane, Wi-Fi, Satellite TV, free local telephone calls (no cell phone service), nicely equipped kitchen for your meal preparations.

Area facilities include Marina with general store in Ompah, as well as gas, live bait, licenses, boat and motor rentals, movie rentals, chip wagon, etc. Boat launch and intimate public beach is very close by. The next village of Plevna( 15 km) has an LCBO, restaurant, gas, mini golf and regional grocery store.

Enjoy our facilities before and after the Firefighters Spring and Fall ATV Wilderness Rides, also the Extreme Ride and Fall Night Ride and BBQ. Close to EOTA and OFSC trails and banquet Hall in Ompah. 2 Day Bass Fishing Derby is the 4th Saturday/Sunday in June.

Also available, small waterfront GUEST HOUSE/BUNKIE, perfect for a single person or adult couple who are visiting the guests of The Pioneer cottage or as your own affordable getaway space. Self contained unit with kitchenette, 3 piece bathroom, screened porch, yard, WI-FI, SATELLITE TV, PET/SMOKE FREE. Electric heat, pillows and blankets provided, reasonably priced, prefer 2 night stay. With 3 units available, we surely will be able to accommodate you.

EOTA & OFSC ATV/snowmobile trails are groomed accordingly. Snowshoeing/x-country skiing on private laneway and county roads. Downhill skiing at Calabogie. Some bedding and infant furniture. Fishing boat rentals at the Marina and General Store in Ompah. ATV/snowmobile,sea-doo rentals in Perth. Satellite Wi-Fi for email. Golf courses within 1 hour. We take care of snow removal.
