This lovely Victorian home is 150+ years old. She was originally built by Captain John Beardsley who navigated the waters of the Bay of Fundy. The home has been updated while still maintaining its charm of days past. A large wrap-around porch offers an inviting place to relax and watch the water.
The Princess & The Sea sits on 2.5 acres of waterfront property in the quaint village of Port Lorne whose way of life revolve around the Lobster trade. It is a quiet, peaceful place to escape. Because of the proximity to the ocean waters, you can raise the windows and enjoy the fresh sea breeze and listen to the changes of the monumental tides as they rush in and out.
An ocean side, covered deck has been added with beautiful garden doors leading from the lobster pot pub room to the beautiful outdoors. It's the perfect spot to have a picnic, or sit and toast nature as the sun sets below the horizon.
*Everything is provided from the tea cups in the kitchen to the fresh crisp linens. JUST BRING YOURSELF!
*Picnic table & cloths, BBQ grill, yard games, an outdoor fire pit, and more are all available for guest use.
*Detailed driving directions from Halifax or Yarmouth are available by requesting same via e-mail.
*A property manager is available 7 days a week for any assistance that may be required.
*Downstairs is wheelchair accessible. To help those with mobility issues, the Captains Quarters and a bathroom are located on the first floor.

Equipments:
This seaside cottage offers five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large fully equipped country kitchen, the parlor with satellite television and DVD, the lobster pot pub room where guests can relax, sip on a drink and watch the sun set over the bay. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, condiments and other basic staples. Appliances include a full size refrigerator/freezer, washer/dryer, microwave, and a beverage refrigerator in the pub room.
One upstairs bathroom features a large 6' cast iron, claw foot bathtub. There is also a separate freestanding shower unit for those who prefer.
The Princess Suite and the Captains Quarters are large bedrooms which include sitting areas and a beautiful view of the bay. The Princess Suite offers a new king size bed. The Sea Crystal Room is located on the bay side of the house and features a double bed piled high with down featherbed and duvets. There is also The Bay Blue Room and The Lighthouse Room. The Princess & The Sea is great for a group of friends or family to gather. You won't find a nicer, cleaner, more well-equipped cottage anywhere!
The cottage is only rented to one family or group at a time.

The cottage rents from Saturday to Saturday. Checkin after 3p.m. and checkout before 10a.m. Book early to ensure your choice time is reserved.
Please note a $300 fully refundable security deposit is required with each reservation. This security deposit will be refunded within 10 days of your departure.
The pet fee is $50/wk per pet. Please check to ensure the pet is acceptable.
