Description
|
We are now closed for the season. It was wonderful to have met all of you and we really loved having you enjoy our little seaside cottage.
We will be re- opening May 1 2013. In addition we will have a new cottage next year. A little more upscale from our rustic cottage and just up the hill. This cottage also has an amazing view of the Bay of Fundy and includes all that Fran's Cottage offers PLUS laundry (washer and dryer), two washrooms (upstairs with tub, downstairs with shower), gas fireplace and kitchen stove, full sized fridge and freezer, dishwasher and an enclosed private garden. $1200 per week
One minute walk to rocky beach, bonfires are permitted. Driftwood, basalt (rock) marbles and other finds after storms.
Interesting and diverse community of artists, writers, musicians and a small fishing harbour: lobster and scallops available from the fishermen. Small craft shop and restaurant on the wharf. Community Hall with scheduled events and suppers.
15 minutes to town of Berwick with all amenities, health clinic and new ice arena, restaurants, shopping.
40 minutes to Acadia University in the town of Wolfville with college events, courses, art galleries, theatre, cinema, festivals .
Wolfville has a year round Saturday and Wednesday organic farm market that includes local artists with wide variety of hand crafts. Berwick holds a small farmer's market on Thursdays.

Waterfront: a narrow country road seperates the cottage from the shoreline. A minute walk to the shore!

Equipments:
The Seaside cottage is a lovely, cozy , rustic (old fashioned) cottage. Open concept downstairs with galley kitchen (all dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, small fridge, tea towels, dishcloths, toaster oven, two burner hotplate, microwave), lounging area (sofa, chairs, coffee table, electric fireplace and large "window to the sea"), family dining area ( table and chairs with dish cupboard ) and small bathroom with overhead shower . Upstairs has a sleeping loft with two double beds seperated by a wooden divider. Front door leads out to a verandah overlooking the amazing Bay of Fundy (deck chairs). Back door leads to small deck with picnic table.

Our Summer House has all amenities above PLUS washer/dryer, dishwasher, gas fireplace, fulll size kitchen gas stove, 2 washrooms (one downstairs with shower, one upstairs with bath). Full size refrigerator, 2 decks to view the Bay of Fundy (one morning deck for sunrises, one evening deck for sunsets) Double bed in upstairs bedroom, trundle bed in upstairs common room and pull out in downstairs living area.
