Description
|
This log vacation home offers beautiful surroundings, and an interesting, comfortable 2000sq.ft (186 sq.m) home on an 8 km long lake.
There are multiple decks with outdoor dining areas, a propane barbecue, firepit and glorious sunsets.
Steps and paths lead down to the private lake-shore deck and dock area where there is swimming, canoeing, kayaking, rowing or pedal boating. Fishing from boat or dock for rainbow and brook trout is available too.
Wildlife may be seen any time of the year on or near the property. Moose, deer, black bear, fox and marten have all visited. Also a wide variety of birds. Loons and ducks, osprey, and beaver and otter are seen on the lake in the summer.
T/V programs are not available but there are lots of DVD's and videos and books and games. High speed internet is available, using your own computer.
The number of guests, either in residence or day visitors is 10 maximum due to limitations of the septic field.
If you want a wonderful vacation, this is the place for you.
Payment and Cancellation Policy
25% of the rent is required to complete the booking. The balance is due 45 days in advance of the booking date. There is $100 damage/cleaning deposit due also at that time. This is refundable if there is no damage and minimal cleaning is required. Long distance phone call charges will also be deducted from the damage deposit.
If there is a cancellation any time, payments (less 10%) are refunded if the unit is re-rented.
Payments can be by personal cheque, money order, direct bank transfer or e-mail bank transfer.
Heating: Natural gas furnace/ wood stove/ wood burning fireplace.
Children allowed: Yes.
Guests allowed: Yes. daytime guests may visit.
Smoking: No. Not inside the buildings. Cigarette butts to be placed in sand buckets provided outside. Fire is a serious threat to log buildings.
Pets allowed: Yes. One well behaved small dog, and pet owners will please pick up their dog's droppings.
Equipments:
Outdoor hot-tub overlooking the lake.
2 bedrooms upstairs in the main house, One with queen-sized bed and second with a double bed and a single bed.
The living room has a high vaulted ceiling, rock fireplace and a wood burning stove. (Wood provided). There is a dining area with expandable table and chairs to seat eight.
It is attractively furnished and contains native artifacts and furs, and comfortable country-style furnishings.
There is a pleasant converted enclosed deck which overlooks the lake, and has a futon which can be used as a bed if necessary, it is a great room for viewing sunsets.
The sun room has wicker furniture and dining set and is an attractive place for meals, overlooking the gardens and lake.
The gardens are extensive with a fish pond, flower beds, shrubs and lawns.
Badminton and croquet are provided.
TV reception is not available, we think that is an advantage! However there is a large selection of VHS and DVD's. and there is a Video store about 20 minutes drive away.
There is a selection of indoor games and hundreds of books, a stereo/record/CD player is available.
The galley kitchen has a full sized fridge, wall oven, Jennaire stove top and dishwasher. All dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, electric frying pan, bakeware, electric kettle, coffee pot and basic spices are provided. All bed linens, table linens, towels and kitchen linens also provided.
There are two bathrooms in the main house:
1. Toilet, bathtub/shower, wash-basin, bidet, hair dryer.
2. Toilet, shower, basin. Washer and dryer are in this bathroom, also utility cupboard with vacuum cleaner and other cleaning materials.
The beach area is sand and gravel and is a gradual slope into the lake for 6-8 feet before it drops off steeply. The water is clear and suitable for swimming. There are 2 canoes, 2 single kayaks, and a pedal boat. Life-jackets, paddles and oars are provided. The lake is stocked with brook and rainbow trout and kokanee.
Cabin:If there are more than five guests, there is an additional cabin on the property which sleeps 1-5 guests. There is a double futon in the living area and three beds in the loft which is accessed by a steep ladder and not suitable for smaller children.
There is a bathroom with shower and basin, but the toilet facilities are outside - a pit toilet or at the main house. There is a small kitchen with a stove top and sink and small fridge. Dishes and cutlery and linens are provided.
There is a TV and video/DVD player, and the furnishings are comfortable and it is decorated with native artifacts.
Please contact the owner for directions. The Google map is very vague and their directions are not accurate. The property is at 27090 Ness Lake Road.

Information sur la localisation : Ness Lake golf course is about a 5 minute drive away. There are other golf courses about 30 minutes away too. There is a shopping centre 20 minutes drive away, with a pharmacy, groceries, dentist, gas stations, bank and restaurants.
The major centre, Prince George, is a 30 minute drive away and has chain stores, regional hospital, theatres, fine dining, airport, bus depot, railway station, parks, museums, art gallery, swimming pools. Hiking trails in Eskers Provincial park are 5 minutes away.

$230 per day.
$1610 per week
Guest cabin an additional $85.00 per day
The guest cabin is not rented alone, it is additional accommodation for when there are more than 5 guests.
There is a four night minimum rental.
A 25 percent deposit is required on booking, and the balance to be paid 45 days prior to your arrival.
A refundable damage deposit of $100 is due at that time also. This will be refunded if there is no damage and minimal cleaning is required when you leave.
If there is a cancellation any time, payments (less 10 percent)are refunded if the unit is re- rented.
Payments may be made by direct bank transfer, e-mail bank transfer, cheque or money order.
