Perfectly located in the beautiful town of Nelson, BC, The Lotus Vacation House is a heritage 1912 building with an independent vacation space filled with original art and fine attention to detail.
From handcrafted Tibetan door hardware to original paintings and mosaics to the unique ornate iron handrails, The Lotus is the ideal venue for your stay in Nelson.
An easy 90 second walk takes you to the heart of the city while a 5 minute drive takes you to the heart of the mountain wilderness.
Nelson is a year-round tourist destination, consistently winning the best small arts community in North America award. It is filled with history and charm and surrounded by a rugged beauty. Although a small mountain city, Nelson is bustling with activity in its quaint downtown with world class skiing, hiking and outdoor adventure only minutes away. With Kootenay Lake and all of its smooth sandy beaches (one of which is located right in Nelson!) there are plenty of adventures to be had on, in and by the water.

The Lotus House comprises the entire 2nd and 3rd floors of this 1912 heritage house and has a private entrance at the front . A large and luxurious master bedroom with a queen sleigh bed and large balcony overlooking the mountains, Kootenay lake and the town will make for an exceptionally comfortable and memorable stay. Two more elegant rooms furnished with antique bedroom sets dating back four generations are located on the second floor. You can relax in the cozy living space in the loft, complete with tv, vcr/dvd, and cd player. The bright, fully-equipped kitchen and dining area boast a tiled counter and antique furniture (with Kootenay Co-op only a couple of minutes away by foot, you'll have easy access to fresh organic foods).
