|
Steps to beautiful sandy beach and playground, right in small town of Lions Head. Perfect for families!! You can relax for a week without driving anywhere, or you can tour the entire Bruce Peninsula from this central home base. Bruce Trail runs through town - check out www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqK25INr3NQ for some good views from the Lions Head trail. Grocery store, drug store, restaurants, coffee shop, pub, convenience store, library, toy store/hardware store, full service MARINA with boat launch and BEACH all within 1 block of this cottage!! Liquor/Beer store, Hospital, massage therapy and chiropractor all nearby. Central to all attractions of the Bruce Peninsula including Bruce trail (right in Lions Head), Grotto at Cyprus Lake (25 min), Tobermory (30 min), Wiarton (20 min), Sauble Beach (30 min). Lots of other beaches in the area, although we highly recommend the beach that you can see from the front yard of the cottage. Bruce Peninsual National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park are also 30 min away at Tobermory.

Safe drinking water - cottage is on town water system.
All the conveniences of an urban centre located in a quaint port village surrounded by limestone cliffs and nature.
Amazing views of escarpment cliffs, caves just down the street, short hike to breathtaking lookout from Lions Head cliff. Artists studios, shops, galleries all in Lions Head and surrounding area.
Cottage has just been completely renovated, inside and out, everything brand new. All the comforts of home!! Lots of closet space and dressers in both bedrooms. Barbecue and Bonfire pit in the large backyard, along with a swing set/slide for little ones. Kitchen includes full size fridge and stove. We are not yet sure if the dishwasher will be up and running for the 2013 season. All dishes and utensils are provided. Bathroom includes tub and shower.
Please note this is a "housekeeping cottage" - please bring your own sheets and towels. Hand towels are provided in kitchen and bathroom as well as duvets in the bedrooms. Sheets and towels can be provided for a fee, or free for visitors traveling a long way! Air conditioning available for families with infants, upon request (generally not needed in Lions Head - warm but nice breezes and cool nights)
Baby items available for young families upon request - including playpen, high chair and wagon to go to the beach or walk around town.
Music at the beach on Friday nights, Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. Live theatre in Lions Head, as scheduled, with Peninsula Players, cruise nights/car shows in the area. Check on brucepeninsula.org for upcoming events. Hiking, rock climbing, fishing charters, mountain biking, swimming, Kayaking (rent in Hepworth or Tobermory) and many more activities are popular in this area.
