Description
|
Beautiful fully renovated 2 bedroom cottage with updated bunkie overlooking Long Bay, Bob's Lake with western exposure. The Master Bedroom is 30 feet from the lake with windows facing the lake and has a separate cupboard. The second bedroom has a twin bed and antique furniture. The combined open concept living room, dining room and kitchen is bright with floor length windows in the living room. The living room has a double futon (sleeps 2)and a single futon (small child). The modern kitchen has all the appliances including a dishwasher, large fridge and stove. For those chilly nights there is electric heat and new propane stove. The large 4 piece bathroom has a tub and shower, toilet and sink. Groceries can be brought right into the front door from your car without any steep climb or stairs. The side door leads to a deck with a bbq and chairs. In 2010 the patio area was fully re-landscaped and flagstone put in. Garden furniture and a patio table seats 10 outside. The firepit is popular with guests toasting marshmellows. The bunkie was refurbished this year and has two bunk beds. There is a washer/dryer at the cottage. The cottage has a telephone, high speed internet, tv/dvd, and telescope.
There are 4 muskoka chairs on one deck and the lowest dock has more sitting space. There is a swimming raft that children love. On the second deck is a sauna that fits 4. Next to the sauna is an outdoor shower. The cottage has a kayak and a canoe and fishing gear along with life jackets. The stairs with double railings were specifically constructed keeping safety in mind.
There is a private boat ramp on the shared private road that boats can be launched from. There is sun all day if you go out on the swimming raft otherwise there is sun on the lowest deck from 1 ? 8pm all summer long! The upperdeck has nice sun at lunch and in the morning.
If it rains what is a prettier town to do country store shopping than Westport. The drive-in movie theatre outside of Perth is always fun. Perth has excellent restaurants.
Bob's Lake is one of the largest and most renowned fishing lakes in Eastern Ontario and the Rideau Lakes area with over 400 miles of shoreline. For several generations Canadians and Americans have enjoyed great fishing, boating and swimming at Bobs Lake.
