Description
|
Quaint two bedroom, 750 square foot cottage - full of charm! Wooden exterior, open beamed ceiling and original hardwood flooring. Our little castle on the lake has a fully functional kitchen, equipped with microwave, stove, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, pancake griddle, pots/pans/cutlery, etc. New fridge and hardwood flooring were added summer 2011. There is a small breakfast bar attached to the kitchen counter with 2 bar stools: exciting space to help the little ones eat! As well, there is a dining table at the front of the cottage, overlooking the lake. The master bedroom has a queen bed with duvet and the second bedroom has 2 solid wood bunkbeds (perfect for children or grandparents!). As well, there are two living spaces - one a cozy reading nook with couch and oversized wicker chair with ottoman; the other with a large sectional couch for family movie night! The newly renovated, 3 piece bathroom, provides both class and comfort. You will need to bring your own linens (bed sheets, towels, face cloths, tea towels, etc.). The cottage has its own drilled well; perfect water for brushing teeth, drinking from the brita provided (in fridge) and washing/cooking produce. There are 2 large ceiling fans (kitchen and living room) to assist with cooling and a beautiful propane fireplace centrally situated in the living room for heating. Perfect for a romantic evening in the fall! Colour TV, DVD player with dozens of DVDs, and a radio also available for your use.
Beach umbrellas provided, permanenetly screwed into the sand. Beach toys can be found at water level, contained in a large deck box (pool noodles, water floaters, floating island, pails & shovels, etc.). You must provide your own life jackets, if required.

The deck overlooking the lake has two small tables, each table has seating for 4 people. As well, there is a bistro table for 2 set beside the garden.... again, perfect for the little ones! Outdoor BBQ provided, with central line to the exterior propane tank. Simply turn on the valve, ignite the BBQ by the touch of a button and voila! A relaxing hammock, under the large maple tree over-looking the lake, awaits!
A firepit is located at the front of the cottage, overlooking the picturesque Lake Huron sunsets, and another pit is located directly on the beach, at the foot of the stairs. All firewood is provided to you. There is also a large lot directly across the cottage for parking and playing (badminton, croquet, ring-toss, ladder ball, etc.) with materials that are provided. All lawn chairs, by the cottage and at beach level, are provided.
