Description
|
Spacious one bedroom cottage nestled in a peaceful, natural setting with 500 ft. on pristine Lake Jerry, only minutes from historic Annapolis Royal. The cottage is located just a few meters from the water. Extended sleeping quarters in separate bunkhouse.
Enjoy the call of loons, beautiful sunsets over the lake, kayaking and fishing. Excellent spot for spending a traditional time at the cottage. Note: The lake is ideal for fishing and paddling, but not for swimming (read below).
You'll find the panoramic Annapolis Royal (10 min.) and Fort Anne, Upper Clements Amusement and Adventure Parks, Oaklawn Farm Zoo, attractions of Bear River, Digby, Kejimkujik etc. - all less than an one hour's drive.
This is an old hunting camp with a lot of atmosphere. You won't find chrome and marble here, but a traditional camp feeling with everything needed for relaxing getaway.
- Four beds in the cottage, plus two more in the bunkhouse
- Heating: Wood stoves
- All bed linen and towels (four sets) provided. Extra sets available for $15/week.
- Parking for three vehicles. Visitors for the day allowed.
- A fishing kayak, small rowing boat (seats three), and a small propane BBQ for cooking your catch.
- Four life jackets included
- Some fishing rods available
- There is NOT washer or dryer
- Smoking is permitted outside only
- Pets allowed: Yes. Cleanup afterwards, please!

Reservation and payments:
PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY:
- MINIMUM STAY/RATE is 3 NIGHTS / $300. You can stay for 1 or 2 nights, but the rate is $300 anyway.
- This is because the amount of work and driving for getting the cottage ready is exactly the same, whether the rental period is 1 or 7 nights.
- If you have a group of more than 4 persons, there will be an extra bedding charge $15 per person for the rental period. It is not possible to have extra persons without bedding.

More about swimming:
We are answering regularly questions about swimming. This is what we say:
Our property is virtually surrounded by Lake Jerry. There is a (very) small sandy beach at the cottage waterfront. Lake water is naturally pure and clean, with a lot of wildlife there (a beaver couple, turtles, birds etc.). There is a lot of rocks, water lilies and and other plants in the water.
Because of the plants and rocks the place not ideal for swimming, although swimming is very much possible for a swimming enthusiast.

Minimum stay is 3 nights, but we'll prioritize weekly rentals.
Weeks run generally from Saturday to Saturday (7 nights), unless prior arrangements are made. Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check out is 11:00 am, unless agreed otherwise.
All payments to be made prior to occupancy by cash, check, or most preferably by Interac money transfer.
Reservation deposit is 20% of the rate; nonrefundable if cancelled, unless re-rented.
Deposit can be paid with:
- Interac money transfer (from your online bank)
- PayPal with your credit card
- Check mailed to us
We will provide bed linen and towels for four. Additional sets are available for $15/week.
The cleaning after occupancy is not included in the price. The cleaning fee is $200 if the cleaning is not done, or if it is superficial only (there are instructions on the proper cleaning).
The rates published are for ONE family unit.
