Island View House is a new architect designed lake-front home on Lake Cecebe that is loaded with amenities. The house faces south east providing a long view down the lake between Gordon and Watson Islands. Solid pine doors and accents throughout the house add to its lake charm. The large deck of Island View House is a great place to see without being seen, sun bathe, relax, eat outside, or BBQ. -- Lake Cecebe is just north of Huntsville near Burk's Falls.
Inside six sky lights, ample windows, and an open living room/dining room/kitchen design give the home a light open feeling as well as privacy. A large cushioned living room window seat helps bring the outside in. An attached pine paneled porch with screens plus easily stackable vinyl panel windows provides an added view of the lake as well as another dining area or place to play games after a day on the water. Hickory hardwood floors in the main living area add style and the leather sofa, stylish recliner chairs, and cushioned window seat add comfort and room for everyone. At over 2,500 square feet, Island View House is comfortable for 2 to 7 people.
Island View House is fully air conditioned, the main floor laundry room has a full size washer and dryer, and the wood burning fireplace in the living room adds evening relaxation. A 32 in. HD TV (satellite connection) and DVD player are also included. Bring your own Bell or Rogers stick or hub, or a Blackberry, etc. for internet connections. There is good cell phone reception. Two powder rooms and two bathrooms make sure there is never a line up. A Jacuzzi tub in the upstairs bathroom provides a great place for relaxation and a Foosball table in the loft area appeals to kids of all ages.
The path to the shore has a gentle slope and there are wooden Muskoka chairs for use on the private dock. Many evenings loons treat guests to a chorus of calls, sometimes fish can be seen jumping in the lake, and most nights the sunsets and stars are beautiful from the dock.
Both the deck and dock are ideal for sun bathing, watching the world go by, a morning cup of coffee or an evening drink. The private 28' x 8' dock is stable and has a ladder that allows easy access to the lake for swimming.
A cement ramp, leading to the back door where cars are parked, and wide main floor doorways make Island View House easy to enter for people with mobility issues. The main floor bedroom with ensuite and the futon (double bed) in the study mean that you would never have to go upstairs to enjoy this luxury home.
Forty miles of navigable waterways stretch from Island View House dock, making it a great base for boating and fishing. There are always fishermen on Lake Cecebe which contains Walleye, Northern Pike, Yellow Perch and Small Mouth Bass.
A 16' canoe OR a 17' wooden row boat with two sets of oars comes with Island View House. - Boats and motors can be rented on the lake and there are boat launches if you have your own boat.

- A well behaved 100% house trained friendly dog who is good with strangers is allowed if the owners agree to pick up all droppings and never leave the dog unattended. There is an Invisible Fence system, but if your dog is not already trained to this system, you must keep him/her on a leash at all times. A dog cannot be left alone in Island View House or tied outside alone to bark at any time.
- Ideal for a couple, family or extended family with grandparents. Very suitable for active seniors. Suitable for handicapped individuals.
- Guests are expected to bring their own sheets, pillow cases and towels OR towels, sheets, and pillow case can be provided for an extra $60 per week.
- Check-in is no earlier than 2 PM on Saturday and check-out is no later than 11 AM on Saturday.
- Potential guests will be asked to fill out and return a Rental Application form, similar to those required by most cottage rental firms. Information on the form will be used for screening purposes and will be kept private.
Waterfront: 100' rocky shore line. Private dock with swimming ladder. Good swimming.
Heating: Heat pump & fully air conditioned
Guests allowed: Yes. if not exceeding maximum. For day guests please enquire.
Smoking: No. No smoking inside or outside.
Pets allowed: Yes. A well behaved dog in allowed. Invisible Fence system installed. See restrictions in Notes below.

- Island View House is situated on a large lot which is 400' deep and 100' wide. Owners may occasionally use separate dock and pathway on the western most 10' of the lot. Owners will park one or more vehicles at the back of the deep lot, but will not disturb guests as they pass Island View House. The owners vehicles will be parked well behind the garage and cannot be seen from inside Island View House, the deck, or the front area between the house and the lake, ensuring privacy for renters.

Island View House is on Lake Cecebe which has 40 miles of navigable waterways. Motor boats can be rented on the lake. We loan guests a canoe OR row boat (with two sets of oars) and there is a large private dock with Muskoka chairs for relaxing, sun bathing, fishing, reading, and so on. - If you bring your own boat it can be launched at the local marina.

**If you see a part week on the availability calendar please ask. -- We will consider stays with a minimum of 4 nights in June and Sept.
A non-refundable deposit of $500 for each week is required to confirm all bookings. The remainder of the rental fee must be paid 30 days before the start of the rental period. If the cottage is booked less than 30 days in advance the entire rental fee is due at the time of booking.
A $350 damage/cleaning deposit is required.
We can provide sheets and towels for an extra $60 per week.
Check-in is no earlier than 2 PM on Saturday and check-out is no later than 11 AM on Saturday.
You will be expected to leave Island View House as clean as you found it.
