A wide variety of nature excursions awaits the adventurer, guided by expert outdoorsmen. Discover behaviors and favorite haunts of wildlife abundant in the subalpine area. Discover wild plants and learn how the local people long ago used them. Marvel at mountain panoramas, silent clear lakes, secluded valleys and trickling spring-fed creeks.
A bright fire blazes in the wood stove. Lightly scented candles add luster to the honey-colored logs in your cabin. Sit before the picture window and gaze up at the Northern Lights as you sip champagne and listen amidst the winter quiet to your soul mate.

Equipments:
The 'Escape currently has three guest cabins on the ground, each hand-crafted log, 480 sq ft with an open design (only the bathroom is enclosed) and visually isolated in order to enhance guest privacy. Each cabin is equipped with a queen-sized bed and double fold-down futon (two cabins) or sofa (one cabin), rocker chair, a full bathroom (tub/shower with hot and cold running water and indoor plumbing!), a wood burning stove and double propane burner for complimentary coffee/tea/hot chocolate.
Wrap yourself in a home-made afghan and listen to wolves sing or touch the stars from your private deck. All meals are prepared for you, cowboy-style on a wood-fired range. To escape a modern world, call early to reserve your space in the unspoiled Alberta wilderness.

Information sur la localisation : Travel west from Edmonton towards Jasper on modern 4-lane Highway 16 for 300 km, arriving at the historic mining and logging town of Hinton, Alberta. Travel north on a 2-lane paved Highway 40 for 40 km. Make sure your camera is loaded for capturing shots of elk, deer and moose on the road!
Turn west (left) at the Rock Lake turn-off on a narrow, winding gravel road for 26.5 km to the Rocky Mountain Escape sign. Cabins are 3 km from the Rock Lake Road, at the end of the trail.

Rates are per adult per night, based on double occupancy, and include your private cabin accommodation, all meals (hot breakfast, boxed lunch for the trail and full dinner with complimentary wine), guided day hikes, use of the 'Escape's canoe and/or cross-country skis and snowshoes, and transportation to and from trailheads. Rates for additional adults and/or children >5 years of age are half-priced, inclusive. There is no charge for children 5 years of age and younger.
Reservations are confirmed with either a Visa or MasterCard number, hold only unless there is a cancellation according to our Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy: If guests must cancel prior to 30 days before arrival, there will be a $50 administration fee charged to the credit card at time of cancellation. If guests must cancel within 30 days of arrival, the 'Escape reserves the right to charge 50% of the package price. Cancellations within 48 hours of arrival are subject to the full package price.
