large log A frame cottage, T & G pine interior, quaintly decorated, open concept A frame, large kitchen & living area with 3 peice bath (tub). 2 queen size beds on main floor bedrooms and 2 three-quarter beds in LOFT UPSTAIRS. Loft is considered third bedroom. Great for children. We promote this as a single family rental but are flexible. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN LINENS. Blankets and pillows and pillow protectors supplied.
This is a single family rental for 2 - 6 people. Located on large sandbar on lower Paudash Lake. 5 min. to corner store & laundromat & 15 min. to Bancroft, the Mineral Capital of Canada. This is the sandbar you will hear people talking about if you have ever been to Paudash. We have great walking trails and the large lake is perfect for boating, fishing and tubing. There is a boat launch very close to the cottage, five minutes away. Also Silent Lake Provincial Park is nearby. Large perennial gardens on property. Across the large deck at the front, we have a gate with latch at one end in order to keep your dog out where you are. Many people have been thankful for that. It is also shaded.
Bancroft has No Frills, BRAND NEW Foodland, Two Tim Hortons & a McDonalds, several unique stores, a great gem store for shopping. Shoppers Drug Mart here 2009. Trips & Trails will book day trips & rents kayaks, bikes, etc. You can also find out more about Bancroft by visiting www.north-hastings.com or www.bancroftontario.com.
The Annual Rockhound Gemboree is always the long weekend in August starting on the Thursday nite.
So book early if you are interested in that. Largest of its kind.
Paudash Lake is abt 12 miles long & offers large & small mouth bass fishing as well as lake trout. Also great for waterskiing & tubing. **NOTE that this property has great swimming or walking or boating out to sand bar** We are conveniently located approx. 1 hr from Haliburton on Hwy. 118 and also 1 hr. from Peterboro Ont.
Waterfront: on sand bar, steps up to cottage, shallow water entry, walk out to sandbar
Heating: air tight fireplace,
Guests allowed: Yes. small fee for any visitors staying overnight $15.00 ea.
Smoking: No. outside only
Pets allowed: Yes. 1 small non shedding dog leashed, NO large dogs please
Equipment:
Fully equipped (everything you need)cutlery, utensils, with frig with top freezer, gas range, microwave, stereo, coffee maker, HD Bell Exp. Vu dish; & DVD. also BBQ (propane supplied). There is a paddleboat & rowboat at the dock. We also have a canoe.
Picnic table & chairs and firepit for your perusal. Wood supplied. Tested well water. Great deck for magnificent view of lake. Bell cellular tower very close by for excellent cell phone communications. Your own private dock. **We have finished booking for 2012** Catch us next year!!

We accept $300.00 by cheque & the remainder by cheque of $650.00 to be dated 3 wks prior to arrival & separate cheque for $200.00 refundable security deposit. Security deposit cheque does not get cashed unless at end of your stay there is reason.
