Large, private, fully equipped, waterfront cottage located on Benoir Lake just a twenty minute walk from Algonquin Park and an adjacent horseback riding stable. Championship 18-hole Golf Course with restaurant directly behind the cottage lot. Great Muskie, Bass, Pan fish, Pike and Pickerel fishing right from the dock with 35 km of boating on Baptiste and Elephant Lakes. Motor boat rentals, boat launch, Convenience Store near by. Canoe into Algonquin Park. Excellent swimming from the dock plus, for children, a sandy shallow sand bar gradually sloping to deeper water about 60 feet from shore. No Zebra Mussels.
Trout lakes in the area.
Occasional sightings of loons, beaver, deer, mink, raccoon, blue herons and hawks. Brazen Blue Jays and chipmunks are common.

Equipments:
This three-bedroom, cedar plank cottage is fully insulated with a full basement for year-round use. Ground cover is mostly bare sand shaded by mature pines. Paddle boat, a 12 foot fiberglass row-boat and life jackets are provided. Enjoy the use of the outdoor fire pit, large sheltered deck, large interlocking terrace, lawn furniture and propane BBQ. Filtered well water and reliable septic system. Four piece bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen. Sleeping accommodation includes three queen-sized and two single beds.
Additional amenities include 27" TV, Divx DVD player, VCR, CD player, radio, and phone for local calls.

Information sur la localisation : Benoir Lake is accessible from Elephant Lake Road which runs north from highway 648 just east of the village of Harcourt. The road swings east at the north end of the lake skirting the south finger of Algonquin Park. For travellers from Ottawa, Elephant lake Road may also be accessed from the town of Maynooth.
Benoir Lake is fed directly by the York River/Algonquin Park watershed and has no Zebra Mussel infestation to date. Benoir, Elephant and Baptiste Lakes form a 35 km navigable chain.
