Description
|
With Breathtaking views & awesome sunsets from the main Cottage and the fully equipped Guest cottage, this spot is perfect for family vacations. Huge deck, screened verandah plus a screened cabin at the water's edge, large dock and boardwalk overlooking Crown islands. Our family compound has everything you need for a restful and fun holiday. Just bring your food, refreshment & clothing because everything else is here. Beds are made, towels are hung and the bottle opener is waiting. Situated on the south side of the Lake, only 15 minutes south of Bon Echo Provincial Park, an hour to Belleville/40l and just over an hour to Kingston. Kashwakamak Lake is approximately 12 miles long with scenic islands, channels & bays.
The deck at the cottage is sunny from the morning throughout the day - the dock and decking at the water is sunny late morning to sunset - we have beautiful sunset views from the water's edge and from the cottages. The lot is elevated and there is a meandering path down to the lake with steps down to the water. The waterfront is completely developed with a full deck across the water's edge, a large dock in the centre and a screened cabin for getting away from the sun and weather. The water is 18-20 feet deep at the end of the dock with steps into the water - just a big swimming pool with lots of room to gather at the waterfront and enjoy the day. The lake is beautiful, clear and practically weed-free, great for swimming and boating. The dock is equipped for larger boats as well, with the boat launch a short distance away from the cottage. There is also a water trampoline about 50 ft from the dock for lounging and jumping on. There are water toys, a pedal boat and lots of lounging furniture along with an outdoor fireplace down at the water. The front yard of the cottage is sloped, however, there is a flatter area at the top where kids could play and run around. The property is very private and there is a huge deck across the back of the cottage overlooking the lake, equipped with dining tables and a large stainless steel bbq. The guest cottage is completely self contained and is perfect for families who want to be together but also like to have their privacy during their vacation.
Our lake is part of the popular Mississippi River Canoe Route. Right off the dock or from our lake's west end, canoeists can gain access to/from Marble and Mississagagon lakes (at Myers Cave) and even up into Mazinaw lake in Bon Echo Provincial Park with relatively minor portages. From its east, Kashwakamak flows into the Mississippi River offering miles of tranquil waterways to explore.
With beautiful, unspoiled scenery, Kashwakamak is great for fishing walleye, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, panfish and the most sought after northern pike.
If you are just looking to relax and get away from it all, this is it. All you really need to do is sit on the deck, read at the dock or jump in the lake, because the scenery, the sunsets and the sparkling waters are more than enough.

$500 non-refundable deposit required for reservations - leaving the weekly rental balance plus the security deposit payable within 30 days prior to arrival.
There is a $500.00 refundable security deposit in addition to the full weekly rental rate due & payable 30 days prior to arrival. In the event the cottages require extensive cleaning or laundering of linens there is an additional $175.00 cleaning fee which will be deducted from the security deposit after inspection. Cottages are to be left in broomswept condition upon departure. Rental deposits may be paid by certified cheque or money order 30 days prior to arrival or if you wish to use your bank or credit card we accept payments through PayPal.
The refundable portion of the security deposit will be returned by PayPal following final inspection.
